Testimonials
“I became an ethical vegan over four years ago after watching the first 10 minutes of Dominion and not wanting to participate in animal agriculture on a personal level. Since then, I’ve turned to non-human animal advocacy in order to help spread awareness and encourage veganism to help abolish this practice, as well as to end anti-speciesism as a whole. I am motivated by the billions of exploited animals worldwide who suffer, as well as the two cats I live with, who remind me that every animal is unique, complex, and deserving of welfare. My favorite vegan food is spaghetti carbonara using soy milk, plant-based butter, and cheeses made from nuts.” - Sarah Lu, Animal Outlook Network Chapter Leader, Washington D.C.

“My desire to become involved in the growing animal rights movement began when I permanently made the switch to veganism in 2019. As I learned more and more about the appalling practices held by the commercial animal agriculture industry, including a lot of things unknown by most of the general public, this fueled a drive to get involved more and to make it the focus of my life's career. One of the things that motivate me is the knowledge that most people are not heartless, and in fact, care about animals. As more people know more, there will be growing shifts in society. Additionally, the fact that animals aren't able to speak up for themselves in the way we can motivates me aswell.” Katia Antonova, Animal Outlook Network Chapter Leader, Bay Area, CA.
“I decided to become an animal advocate at ten years old after seeing PETA’s campaign “Kentucky Fried Cruelty”. Watching videos of horrific animal torture led me to stand on the sidewalk outside of my family’s house and ask people to sign up to go vegetarian. Many years later, I still feel compelled to take action to improve animal welfare. Plant-based proteins are more accessible than ever and I hope introducing them to people will help them make a change. I live with a little dog Noodle, who reminds me every day how funny, smart, and wonderful all animals are. I love chickpea everything and Trader Joe’s cashew cheese (when melted only!).” - Eloise Kirn, Animal Outlook Network Chapter Leader, Portland, OR.
“I transitioned to a vegetarian lifestyle 8 years ago after watching multiple documentaries such as “What The Health” and being exposed to what actually has to happen for us to consume what we choose to consume. I continued to educate myself on the harsh realities of animal welfare and our food industry in the years following but especially in depth over the past 2 years. I now live a fiercely vegan lifestyle and have for over one year and it has been the best decision I have ever made. I am relentlessly passionate about ending the cruel and unethical treatment of sentient beings for the sake of consumerism, boldy committed to my lifelong purpose of being the voice for those who cannot speak for themselves, and dedicated to the mission of ending the suffering and exploitation of creatures everywhere. Spreading awareness and shifting the perspective around the harmful mindset of speciesism and animal exploitation motivates me every day to fight for the innocent beings who deserve dignity, justice, empathy, compassion, and respect.“ - Audrey Oasis, Animal Outlook Network Chapter Leader, Nashville, TN.
Volunteers
"I have lived a vegan lifestyle since 2003, and am a proud supporter and volunteer of Animal Outlook. I find it easy to take meaningful actions for animals via the volunteer emails from Jenny, Animal Outlook's Director of Outreach and Engagement. As well as keeping me updated on the latest advocacy opportunities, Jenny's emails also educate me on how to be the most effective animal advocate I can.
I'm delighted that I have secured the important achievement of a VegWeek Proclamation from my city and I’m grateful to the City of Palm Springs for endorsing Animal Outlook's VegWeek, an important action that will make a real difference for animals by encouraging others to try vegan. Thanks to Animal Outlook for always giving me the tools to take impactful actions to help animals." - Tiffani LoBue, Animal Outlook volunteer
“Interning with the Outreach Department at Animal Outlook has been an amazing experience. I appreciated the positive support and consistent communication that allowed me to plan a successful event on my college campus. I am motivated by the passion of fellow animal rights activists, as well as the outcomes of the events I plan, to continue to strive to be a better activist for animals. Seeing everything come together and the impact I have made drives me to continue. I would definitely recommend volunteering with Animal Outlook to not only take action for animals, but improve your personal skill set and make new connections along the way.” - Harper Dunn, Former Animal Outlook Outreach Intern
Interns
“Interning with Animal Outlook taught me so much about communications, outreach, and proclamation work in vegan advocacy. I developed tools and knowledge on different ways to contact politicians, public figures, and celebrities, as well as guidance on angles and approach with asks. I would absolutely recommend this to any student interested in advocacy and the movement as a whole, so they can have the same kind of unforgettable experience." - Marielle Williamson, Former Animal Outlook Outreach Intern
“This summer I interned for Animal Outlook. My experience with this organization was amazing. I was able to learn a lot and do meaningful work. I would highly recommend interning for this organization!” - Megan Scannell, Former Animal Outlook Outreach Intern
